Podere Pietravento

Podere Pietravento is a carefully restored old Tuscan farmhouse, surrounded by the flourishing coastal countryside in the territory of Campiglia Marittima, in the province of Livorno. From the Podere, the gaze crosses the Castello di Casalappi, travels along the plain bordered by the gentle slopes of the Val di Cornia and lingers on the architectural forms of the famous Petra winery, designed by the great architect Mario Botta.
Podere Pietravento is a place where you can dedicate yourself to the essentials, a charming residence where you can free your mind from commitments and worries, to experience a truer and more serene time, in harmony with nature.
The vital force of the Etruscan land and the embrace of the Tyrrhenian Sea, with the nearby beaches of Sterpaia and Torre Mozza, the Gulf of Baratti and San Vincenzo, make Pietravento the ideal setting for a relaxing holiday and for enjoying nature, art treasures and the gastronomic excellence of Tuscany.
The Podere lies in the heart of an area of high environmental, landscape and cultural value, as evidenced by three nature parks (Montioni, Poggio Neri and La Sterpaia), two archaeological parks and a rich network of museums in the immediate vicinity.
The Capitanio brothers, in love with this corner of Tuscany, have transformed an old farmhouse into a luxurious rural residence and have undertaken the patient recovery of vineyards and olive groves with the desire to make fine wines and oils, worthy representatives of this enchanting land.
Pietravento is a living, evolving reality, driven by the passion of its owners.

A dream built together.

“As soon as the pandemic allowed us to do so, we travelled the length and breadth of Tuscany, driven by the desire to find a cottage where we could take refuge during our holidays. A place of our own that represented what we love: nature and its colours, the sea and the pine forest with their perfumes and the energy that this land can transmit…

We are happy to share the Pietravento dream with our guests, so that they can spend days in harmony and find in this cottage a serene place to be, surrounded by pure beauty”.
